A Book Review on 'My Sister Jodie' By Jacqueline Wilson

I am reviewing 'My Sister Jodie' by Jacqueline Wilson. This book is about a girl called Pearl, who lives with her mum, dad and big sister Jodie. Pearl is as good as gold and very shy and timid, but Jodie is the complete opposite. She dies her hair, bunks off school and used her money for new school shoes to buy some high heels. She evn lied to her her parents, went to a club and came home drunk. But Jodie is the apple of Pearl's eye.
One day, aginst Jodie's will her parents accept jobs at a posh boarding school, where Pearl and Jodie will attend.
Pearl fits right in and makes loads of new friends, but Jodie is not doing as well, especially as she's been held back a year. There is also the mystery of the headmaster's wife, who is crippled and in a wheelchair. When Pearl, Jodie and thier new friend Harley discover a secret attic they think it is nothing but harmless fun, but when disaster strikes, how will Pearl cope? ...
This is a very good book, but very sad as well. The surprise twist at the end is excellent!
I would recommend this book to girls aged 8-13 and would rate it 3/5 stars.

  1. Your review really makes me feel emapthy for Jodie and how she doesn't fit in. Maybe to improve you could add a quote.
